The first installment of this new series of holiday albums for indie-rock fans featured a robust duet between Sarah McLachlan and Barenaked Ladies. This time around, pop-punker Avril Lavigne joins pop chanteuse Chantal Kreviazuk for a stirring “O Holy Night.” But the highlights come from the harmonizing Be Good Tanyas (“Rudy”), a rollicking Oh Susanna (“Go Tell It On the Mountain”) and Martina Sorbara whose sexy, husky voice, on “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” could melt snow.
